Looking for space to grow – but put off by high costs or lack of know-how?
Start-Up Street in Paisley, Johnstone and Renfrew are Renfrewshire Council’s managed workspaces for business start-ups who need support to move into their first business premises.
Over 2-year period businesses will be on a staged rental model with onsite support in Paisley and Renfrew from the Start-Up Street Enterprise Centre Manager as well as support from a Business Gateway Advisor in all three locations.

Applications are open to sole traders, partnerships, limited liability partnerships and limited companies that:
- are either a start-up or have traded for fewer than five years and have not operated from commercial premises.
- are working with a Business Gateway adviser.
- have a business bank account.
- are small or medium sized - with fewer than 250 employees.

Based within the former Johnstone police station (Station Seven), Start-Up Street Johnstone is operated by Active Communities and the focus is on supporting health and wellbeing business. Successful entrepreneurs benefit from a comprehensive package of tailored support. A dedicated business adviser supports you at each stage of your business journey. They’ll give you advice and guidance to overcome any unexpected challenges.
