The Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games are imminent – and so are loads of new job openings. The Games will create over 30,000 vacancies for local people as businesses and local communities get ready for the big event. There are currently vacancies in security, cleaning, hospitality, catering and retail.
If you’re looking for work, make sure you go to the DWP Glasgow Jobs Fair, where all the current Commonwealth Games vacancies are being advertised. The event is being organised by the Department of Work and Pensions, in partnership with Jobs & Businesses Glasgow, Skills Development Scotland and Remploy.
There’s no need to register, just bring your CV on the day for the opportunity to speak directly to employers. If you’re registered with one of the Invest in Renfrewshire Employability programmes, ask your advisor for help with your CV and interview skills to get the best chance of success!
