Working Matters is a specialised programme for individuals of all ages who are in receipt of Employment Support Allowance or who are in receipt of Universal Credit and have a Fit Note from their GP.
Working Matters offers clients a very individualised service which starts with the reasons that you are currently unable to work. We do not judge and we do not assess your entitlement to benefit. Our aim is to work with you to understand what it is that you can and cannot do and what you would like to be able to do. We will then draw up an individual development plan aimed at getting you the physical, mental and vocational support, skills, confidence and experience to take up volunteering, enter permitted work allowing you to keep some or all of your benefits and to get a job in something that you are able to do. We offer a range of social and leisure activities designed to improve general wellbeing and to help you in your journey towards better health and employability.
