Adam digs the foundations in preparation of a great career in the construction industry.

Everyone has to start somewhere or so they say.

To become a director or an operations manager of a business very often you have to start at the bottom of the ladder and work your way up.  That’s exactly what Adem who registered with Invest in Renfrewshire was looking to do.

Adem started the Sector based work Academy in July 2020.  During  his pre-screening for the programme he stated that he had never worked in construction but had been really keen to get into the industry because he enjoys manual labour and physical tasks.  Adem kept fit and active and his goals were to gain his CSCS card and hopefully start a career in the construction industry.  Following the 2 week programme Adem was lucky enough to secure a placement opportunity on site with McTaggarts Construction with their groundworks team.  Adem was reliable, turned up on time every day and got his head down and worked hard through out the placement.  As a result Adem even secured  a job and started full time with Mctaggart Construction Ltd as a result of their Community Benefit programme on behalf of Link Group.

We are delighted to learn of Adem’s great success and wish him well in his future.   Now armed with his industry related training, work experience and job its onward and upward for Adem.
