There are some key points to consider when putting a project and funding application together. We would be happy to advise you on any of the following:
- Design the project before looking for a funder, or you may be tempted to design the project to match the fund and not the need you are trying to address
- Check the grant funder’s priorities before applying to make sure your project ‘fits’ with their objectives
- Read the guidance provided and follow any instructions given carefully
- Consider all of your costs and the resources you will need to deliver the project
- Think ahead about how you will monitor the project
- When your application is ready – ask a friendly funding officer to read it and see if it is clear
- Take on board any advice you receive
