For 40 years, JGB Steelcraft (UK) Limited has been committed to quality service and delivery by investing in technology, people and training to maintain its position in the market place. The company was originally formed in Johnstone, but has been based in Hillington Business Park since 2015.
As the business continued to expand, Andrew O’Brien, director of JGB Steelcraft (UK) Limited, opted to liaise with the Invest in Renfrewshire Business Team to identify suitable larger premises to relocate.
The perfect option was a factory unit at 10 Carlyle Avenue in Hillington and enabled the business to stop outsourcing work and move operations internally, recruiting skilled staff in water jet cutting and shot blasting operations.
Their most recent investment was £54k to increase their electrical supply from 200 to 400 amps and an associated mains upgrade. This investment was supported by Invest in Renfrewshire’s Growth Company Development Fund who contributed £10k towards costs.
Andrew said: “Other businesses should speak to the team at Invest in Renfrewshire. It just takes a phone call to speak to a member of the team who will arrange to meet to discuss your business support enquiries.
“We use the vacancy management team’s services 9 times out of 10. The only other time is when speculative enquiries or CVs are sent into the office. I would encourage other businesses to phone the Invest in Renfrewshire team if they are looking for staff.”
